One of the worst parts of this very sad story is that calling someone a prostitute is just about the most vile insult possible. EVERYONE who works “sells their body” !
Hi Jonathan, yes what a perspective shift! There is such a swirl of information and agendas that we believe contributed to the way this lie was crafted, we agree, it’s a seriously harmful and completely inaccurate story told about Mary. The silver lining is that we know so many find comfort in the concept that a woman of such importance was imperfect, like the rest of us. To us, both things can be true—we can continue to view Mary as an example of faith AND clarify that this lie has no truth to it. Thank you for engaging in conversation with us
